Built with love and protected by the blessed red brick. The dollhouse was built on a red brick foundation.
Red brick is known throughout history, amongst many cultures to provide protection from bad luck, ill intent and disease. In rootwork and hoodoo, it is used to protect you from harm. Red brick is sacred.
The former Fallston Brickyard is located on sacred Indian ground. That tribe protects and blesses the town and the dollhouse to this day.
"Each step I take, the air gets thicker, heavier. I try to stand up tall, but I cannot. There feels to be no room and I cannot see what keeps me from standing tall. It appears nothing is holding me back, but the air."
The chief sits patiently in the great room with great wisdom and insight to share.
The women are giggling in the sunroom over the latest town gossip. The aroma of cherry blossom, magnolia, rose and coffee fill the room. The chief always brought the freshest coffee and tobacco. Uniforms for the soldiers will need to be sewn, but the women do not know.
The children play in the orchard, their laughter can barely be heard as the train rolls into town.
The sun is providing warm, comforting hugs in attempt to calm their worries, as the soldiers walked down the street.
The men of the town continue their operations of providing safe spaces and freedom to the southern runaway slaves. Some carts need repaired. More bandages and supplies are needed.
Brick after brick, pathways of hope are being laid throughout the entire town. Secret rooms, passages and tunnels connect the homes and businesses. Intented to protect the entire community and all who pass through.
Built by hand, brick by brick, with the most honorable, loving intent of the entire community. All is blessed and protected by the blessed red brick.
