Oats are used as a natural skin cleanser that removes dirt & oil that clog pores. Oats treat acne, exfoliate skin & naturally moisturize. Try these recipes to give your skin some love.
Dry, itchy, irritated skin
- Add 1-2 cups of oats to warm bath water. Simply soak for approximately 20 minutes
Lavender Oat Scrub
- Mix in a bowl, 1/2 cup coconut oil, 1 cup of oats & either fresh lavender or 2 drops of lavender essential oil (we prefer Doterra) Apply to skin in a circular motion, lifting away dead skin. Rinse skin with warm water
- Boil 1/2 cup of oats in a 1/2 cup of water. Cool & stir to a paste. Apply to acne for 20 minutes & rinse with warm water
- Mix 1 tbsp oats, 2 tbsp plain yogurt & 1 tsp lemon juice. Mix to a paste & apply to blackhead for 20 minutes. Rinse with warm water
